  Melodic techno label TRAUMWEG is back with its fourth release, and along with two stunning original tracks by Border Wave, there are also remixes by ANII of Anjunadeep, Afterlife, Kompakt and Stil Vor Talent.
  
  Border Wave is a new artist making his debut release. Fusing emotive vocals with powerful basslines and soaring pads makes for a perfect combination. Little is known about the secretive producer, but it’s a spectacular first outing that shows off an impressive pedigree.
  
  ANII is a London based producer who has already proven herself with releases on many of the labels leading the melodic house and techno genres. After originally starting as a drum & bass producer, she has evolved into the world of four to the floor kick drums. Her enchanting use of melody helps create a majestic sound that really stands out.
  
  “Icefall” opens the release with a bassline that pays homage to the style of other artists, but it’s in no way a carbon copy, and with the stunning female vocals adding a unique twist.
  
  “Run Fast” is second of the originals, and its string stabs with emotive male vocals give it a cinematic feel. Dramatic and full of suspense, it’s got a charismatic sound perfect for the dance floor.
  
  ANII’s remix of Icefall condenses the vocal into the main breakdown, but adds a new percussion, and a more understated bassline that allows the original's melody to become the lead element. There is also a dub version where the vocal is completely removed to give the breakdown extra intensity.
  
  There is also a Lullaby version of Icefall that strips away the percussion to deliver an ambient version where the full emotion of the vocal can be felt.
